No ladies, we are not. You will have to wait for next week for the boys to come over and play!

At TOFT we start mating the first week of May. On Monday these older TOFT ladies who did not get pregnant for this season will join the queue of maidens lining up for the boys attentions. Draycote water will start to echo to the sound of orgling males for the next four months. Warm nights like Friday bring out random campers who like to sit around lighted fires and talk bollocks all night setting off every dog for half a mile. 

Then of course they naff off early leaving not a trace of their festivities. Thanks people I just love picking up your leftovers.

There are times when whatever the day has brought with it the sheer beauty of the setting sneaks up and takes your breath away. 

I wonder if the alpacas ever stand and look in awe? It might not be the Peruvian Alti -Plano but this is about as good as it gets at Toft Alpacas.
