TOFT Clovis looking very tidy on his first evening out...Boys 2 Girls 1

TOFT Clovis joined us today around lunchtime and his pedigree is evident from the outset. He is out of TOFT Catena a first time Mum from Barrabinda Flinders Star and his Father is TOFT Jaina son of Skywalker and all one can ever say on the first day is he shows a lot of promise. TOFT Catena is a 3rd generation first time Mum and if TOFT Clovis is the sign of what we can expect from the other elite maidens then It is going to get very exciting here in the next few months.

TOFT Nashira takes Champion Light fleece at the British Alpaca Futurity 2015

TOFT Nashira added to her broad ribbon Championship win at the BAS National fleece show with winning another broad ribbon Light Championship today at the British Alpaca Futurity Fleece Show 2015.
TOFT Nashira is a real TOFT treasure. She is out of our medium fawn stud male Barrabinda Flinders Star. She is maintaining excellence in her fleece as she ages having put forward her fourth fleece this year to take the Huacaya Light Championship in both the BAS Nationals and the British Alpaca Futurity.

Mated maidens all grown up...

As we approach Autumn we are busy scanning all the mated girls for an estimate of next years crop of elite cria. These former show girls have now given up winning rosettes in the glamour of the ring for maternal duties back on farm.
These are all first timers daughters of Barrabinda Flinders Star, Toft Jaina and Lavender Park Tulley and form the elite  centrepiece of the  Toft Herd. They are now all pregnant for the first time and will settle down for the winter, chomping hay and grass and nurturing future Champions. Well one can only hope at this time of the year, next season will reveal whether our choices bear fruition.
Hey, ho. It's a long old job but a gud un!
